It was a sad day for the loved near and dear of one who flown in Air India flight from Dubai to Mangalore, Air India aircraft has crashed and split in two in Mangalore airport upon landing and it was jerked and trembled while landing on the runway at the Mangalore airport, sources says around 160 passengers including crews are dead, also Air India has announced surroundings up of a control room in the airport here following the Air India aircraft crash at Mangalore this morning.
Press Trust of India (PTI) announced that Fire fighters performing rescue operations as lot of people gathered at the crash site in Mangalore. PTI The Dubai-Mangalore Air India Express Boeing touched landing run-way which caused technical handling and issues become uncontrollable to reach safely.
Today, Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh conveyed his grief at the huge loss of lives due to the Air India crash in Mangalore today. All leaders and parties expressed their grief to the near and dear of the one who lost their life in this crash, also, BJP today expressed grief over the loss of lives in the Mangalore air crash and BJP said immediate assistance are taken to provide rescue and relief to their lost one.
Tamil Nadu governor Surjit Singh Barnala today expressed his deep condolences to the families of those killed in an air crash at Mangalore. In the first ever major air crash in Karnataka on Saturday morning at Mangalore, the State Fire and Emergency Services made use of foam in an attempt to rescue the operation.
PTI reported that there are few who survived in the air crash and one of them is Manikutty, one of the safely survivors of the Air India crash at Mangalore, he said the aircraft landed as usual on the runway with a normal jerk, then immediately it hits something and then broken into two and caught sudden fire. "The aircraft then went off the runway, slid into ground which looked like a forest," he said, recalling his ordeal.
Mainkutty, who hails from North Kerala, said he and other four or five passengers jumped from the gaping hole caused by the broken area. It was happen without any warning to passengers about any trouble and it looks like a smooth landing. When it touching the ground the aircraft jerked and in a few moments hit a block, something like a big premises. Then the aircraft broken in the middle and caught sudden fire. Manikutty just jumped from the gap," he is now in hospital, said.
The Mangalore plane crash was a double blown as one of the family lost around 16 relatives in it in the Air India crash Saturday in Mangalore.
